Career Professionals in
the 21st Century!

Events & Programs

We invite you to attend our one-day programs which are held three times a year. Programs are designed to give our members and other interested participants information about various careers, employment trends and professional development topics of interest to career professionals.

Members are needed to participate in planning upcoming programs. Each program committee meets once to design the day's event. Individuals can select to participate by helping to make site arrangements, get speakers, design the mailing or handle registration.

In this "train the trainer" session, a student employment professional will discuss the best ways to foster real world, transferrable professional skills in our student employees as their supervisors and mentors. This presentation will include information about how to best educate our student employees on how to conduct themselves professionally in the workplace, and how to leverage their work-study assignments to land their next internship/job. Our presenter will also include information about state and federal student employment regulations to keep in mind when hiring and supervising student employees. The presentation will be followed up by a working lunch with breakout round tables where we'll discuss different student employment topics from the presentation, and come up with best practices to share with the membership.
